Riverhawk Players in Christmas Parade 2009- View Photo1 -Photo 2
  • The RiverHawks clinched 2nd place in the final regular season standings and with it a bye straight into the 2nd round of playoffs and hence now have a week to 10 days off. This is our highest finish in 10 years!
  • Our Head coach, Andrew Joyner was selected by the league (all teams vote) as Coach of the Year for the 2nd consecutive season.
  • We had 3 players (Hicks, Dunseith, & Smith) in the top 10 scoring and all 3 were in the top 5 in the East division
  • We hosted an intermission performance at our Jan. 31, 2010 game vs. Grimsby by INNOVATION Intermediate Synchronized Team, representing the Winter Club of St. Catharines, which is led by coaches Kelly Bolibruck and Lisa Romanin.  This team  is made up of 14 dedicated young women ranging in ages from 16 to 24.They were ranked 7th in Canada in 2009 and in 2010 have already a captured a bronze and silver medal at their first two competitions. INNOVATION will be competing at their National Qualifier Feb. 12-14 in Fort Erie.  The program that they are skating is titled:  "Hope for a Cure" It was inspired by Ann Furney and is dedicated to our team members' family and friends fighting Cancer.  For more information on INNOVATIONsynchro please email innovationsynchro@hotmail.com ---
